Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires long-term management to prevent serious complications. In Indonesia, the prevalence of DM has reached 8.5%, indicating an urgent need for more effective treatment through continuous education and monitoring. Pharmacists hold a strategic role through pharmaceutical care to improve the success of patient therapy. This study aims to analyze the contribution of pharmacists in implementing diabetes treatment programs, specifically in improving patient compliance, controlling blood sugar levels, and enhancing the quality of life. This research is a literature review, collecting sources from Google Scholar. The search focused on scientific articles reviewing pharmacist interventions for diabetes patients using keywords such as therapeutic compliance and health services. The review of several studies indicates that pharmacist interventions including structured counseling, medication education, and continuous therapy monitoring provide a significant positive impact. Patients showed an increased understanding of medication rules, which directly correlates with improved compliance and better blood sugar control. Furthermore, pharmacist involvement is proven to minimize Drug Related Problems (DRPs) and improve the overall quality of life for patients.
