The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between
locus of control and career maturity in students of MAN 4 Jombang.
The method used in this study was a quantitative correlational
method. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling,
the sample calculation used the Slovin formula totaling 227 students.
The data collection technique used a psychological measurement scale
instrument from the locus of control variable and the career maturity
variable. Data analysis used was the Pearson product moment
correlation test with the help of JASP 0.95 for Windows software. The
results of the data analysis obtained were that both variables had a
coefficient value of 0.158 with a significance value of 0.029 (p <0.05).
This states that the relationship between locus of control and career
maturity is positive. The higher the locus of control, the higher the
career maturity shown by students, and vice versa, the lower the locus
of control, the lower the career maturity shown by students.
