Abstract
The development of artificial intelligence technology has created new opportunities in the field of education, including Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PESH) learning. One of the emerging technologies applied in educational contexts is Deep Learning, which is capable of analyzing movement patterns visually and providing objective and systematic feedback. In volleyball learning at the junior high school level, students often encounter difficulties in mastering basic techniques, such as improper body positioning, poor movement coordination, and inconsistent technical execution. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with eighth-grade students as the research subjects. This study aimed to describe students’ basic volleyball skills and the learning process supported by Deep Learning. Data were collected through direct observation of students’ activities and movement skills during the learning process using an observation sheet with basic volleyball technique indicators. The observation also focused on students’ responses and participation in learning using Deep Learning, so the data were descriptive and contextual. The results indicate that the application of Deep Learning in learning activities helps students identify and understand technical errors more concretely through visual feedback. Most students demonstrated improved movement understanding, particularly in body coordination, hand positioning, and movement accuracy. These findings suggest that Deep Learning can serve as an effective learning medium to enhance the quality of PESH instruction, especially in volleyball practice sessions.
