Community Service is an implementation of The Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the form of direct community engagement and service. The KKN program at Boyolali University during the July-August 2025 period provides students with valuable learning and working experiences while promoting the empowerment of rural communities through the development of local potential. This study explores the role of Community service in supporting hydroponic farming activities and catfish cultivation using recycled materials as cultivation media in Ngablak Village. The program serves as both an educational platform and a mentoring process, aiming to enhance the community's skills and knowledge in utilizing local resources in a sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly manner. The methods applied include educational counseling, technical training, workshops, and direct hands-on mentoring in plant and fish cultivation techniques. The results demonstrate significant improvements in community knowledge, skills, and active participation in hydroponic gardening and catfish farming. Furthermore, this Community service program strengthens cooperation between university students and local residents as a tangible manifestation of community service that positively influences local welfare and environmental sustainability. By empowering the community through this sustainable approach, the program serves as a model that can be replicated in other villages to optimize local potential, improve quality of life, and increase food security independently. Through this initiative, students gain practical experience while contributing meaningfully to community development and environmental conservation.
