Abstract

Placenta accreta is a serious obstetric complication
characterized by abnormal attachment of the placenta to the
uterine wall, which frequently causes postpartum hemorrhage
and poses a high risk for the mother. This incidence increases
along with the high rate of cesarean section (CS) deliveries.
This case study aimed to describe comprehensive nursing care
for Mrs. Y, a post-CS patient with indications of placenta
accreta at Dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional Hospital, Banda Aceh.
The examination revealed that the patient had acute
discomfort, a risk of bleeding, sorrow reactions from the
baby's loss, and body image changes as a result of the
hysterectomy procedure. The nursing diagnosis was
established using the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards
(SDKI), and interventions were carried out in accordance with
the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI) and
Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI) in the form
of pain management, comfort care, bleeding prevention,
postpartum care, incision area care, grief support, body
image promotion, and coping enhancement. The evaluation
findings revealed considerable improvements in acute pain.

a comprehensive, evidence-based bio-psycho-social-spiritual
approach to improving the quality of life for post-cesarean
and hysterectomy patients with placenta accreta. It is
recommended that nursing care providers for post-cesarean
mothers with placenta accreta use this study as a reference
source in while implementing nursing care
