CROWDFUNDING SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PEMBIAYAAN PENDIDIKAN DI ERA DIGITAL

This study aims to analyze the role of crowdfunding as an alternative model of education financing in the digital era. The background of this study lies in the limitations of conventional funding sources such as government budgets, school operational assistance, and community contributions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, this study explores the potential, challenges, and implementation practices of crowdfunding in supporting the sustainability of education in Indonesia. The findings reveal that crowdfunding plays a strategic role in expanding access to education through collaboration among communities, educational institutions, and the private sector. Several platforms such as Kitabisa.com, BenihBaik.com, DanaDidik.com, and Edukrein.com have successfully mobilized public support for scholarship programs, school facility development, and teacher empowerment. Nevertheless, issues related to digital literacy, regulatory frameworks, and transparency remain significant challenges. With proper policy support and multi-sector collaboration, crowdfunding has the potential to become a new pillar of inclusive, transparent, and equitable education financing in Indonesia.
