This study aims to formulate strategies in an effort to improve the quality of MAS Muhammadiyah 1 Medan tutoring institutions. So that this institution can improve its best performance in the face of increasingly rapid technological developments and can become a trusted tutoring institution in helping students learn and continue their education to a higher level. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive research methods as for the techniques used in obtaining data,namely interviews, observations and field notes. While the analysis technique used is SWOT Analysis with the hope that this research can have a good impact on this institution by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of this institution as well as opportunities and threats from external factors of the institution. The results of this study show that MAS Muhammadiyah 1 Medan institutions have more internal strengths than shortcomings and have more opportunities than existing threats. All shortcomings can be minimized with strengths and opportunities. The threat can be overcome with existing opportunities and strengths.
