The purpose of this study is to improve the facilities and skills of inmates through the manufacture of shoe racks in a class IIA prison. The background to this activity is based on the limited footwear storage facilities, which previously caused disorder and reduced comfort during worship activities. The programme was implemented in a phased and systematic manner, beginning with surveys and data collection, planning and designing the racks, procuring materials and preparing tools, producing the tools, installing and arranging the racks, socialising and training on their use, and evaluating and reporting. The results of the activity showed that the shoe rack production programme in the hall of the Class IIA Correctional Facility in Bogor successfully provided a solution in the form of better physical facilities, improved skill development supporting the independence of inmates, and the creation of a comfortable, orderly, and clean worship environment at the Class IIA Correctional Facility in Bogor. It is hoped that this programme can serve as a model for effective community service implementation in supporting the strengthening of training and improving the quality of facilities within the correctional institution environment.
