The transformation of the lifestyle of the millennial generation, which grew up in a digital environment, poses new challenges for the correctional system, particularly in the implementation of personality development in prisons. This study focuses on the lifestyle patterns of millennial prisoners in Medan Class I Prison and the factors that influence the success of their rehabilitation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative through interviews, observations, and document reviews, involving millennial inmates and correctional officers. The results showed that the flexible, digital, and experience-oriented lifestyle of the millennial generation is not in line with conventional rehabilitation patterns based on lectures and strict discipline. Internal factors such as mental readiness and motivation, as well as external factors such as interactive rehabilitation methods, the role of officers, and access to technology, were found to have a significant effect on the effectiveness of the program. This study emphasizes the need to adjust rehabilitation approaches to be more adaptive to the characteristics of the millennial generation in order to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation, reduce the risk of recidivism, and prepare for better social reintegration.
