This study explores the transformative learning experiences of university students engaged in community service programs, highlighting how direct involvement with local communities fosters holistic education. Through participatory observation, reflective journals, and in-depth interviews, the research reveals that students develop not only cognitive competencies but also social empathy, intercultural understanding, and a sense of civic responsibility. Community engagement challenges their academic assumptions, compels them to adapt to diverse social environments, and deepens their capacity for critical reflection. These experiences bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, reinforcing the notion that service is not merely an act of charity, but a dynamic process of mutual learning. The findings underscore that meaningful education must extend beyond classroomswhere serving becomes a method of learning, and learning becomes a path to service.
