POLA PERESEPAN OBAT ANTI CEMAS PADA PASIEN RAWAT JALAN DI POLI JIWA TAHUN 2024
Abstract
Anxiety disorders are mental disorders that are often chronic in nature and require long-term pharmacological therapy, particularly in outpatient services. Anxiolytic drugs are still widely prescribed in clinical practice; however, prescription patterns dominated by combination therapy may increase the risk of side effects and irrational drug use. This study is a descriptive observational study with a retrospective approach conducted at the Psychiatry Clinic of RSUD Prof. Dr. dr. Aloei Saboein Gorontalo City in 2024. The study subjects were all outpatients who received anxiolytic drugs, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were obtained from medical records and patient prescriptions, then analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage distributions. A total of 50 patients were analyzed, with the majority aged 40-59 years (60,0%), an equal sex distribution, predominantly diagnosed with Generalized Anxiet Disored (64,0%), and having a treatment duration of more than one year (62,0%). Prescription patterns were dominated by combination therapy (78,0%), particularly two-drug combinations (60,0%). The most frequently used combinations were benzodiazepines with antidepressants (51,28%), followed by benzodiazepines with antipsychotics (23,09%). Benzodiazepines were the most frequently prescribed class of anxiolytic drugs, both as monotherapy (54,55%) and in combination therapy. Antidepressants were the most common accompanying psychopharmacological class (56,0%), with maprotiline as the most frequently used drug. The prescription pattern of anxiolytic drugs in outpatients was dominated by the long-term user of benzodiazepines in combination therapy, particularly with antidepressants and antipsychotics, reflecting the clininal complexity of anxiety disorders. These findings emphasize the need for evaluation of prescription rationality and continuous monitoring of therapy safety to minimize the risk of side effect and drug dependence.
