HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN TENTANG INFEKSI NOSOKOMIAL DENGAN KEPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNGAN DIRI (APD) SAAT PRAKTIK KLINIK

Abstract

Infeksi nosokomial merupakan salah satu masalah utama dalam pelayanan kesehatan yang dapat berdampak pada keselamatan pasien dan tenaga kesehatan. Mahasiswa keperawatan sebagai calon tenaga kesehatan memiliki peran penting dalam pencegahan infeksi nosokomial, salah satunya melalui kepatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) saat praktik klinik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan mahasiswa keperawatan tentang infeksi nosokomial dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD saat praktik klinik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literature review dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber pustaka berupa jurnal ilmiah dan artikel penelitian yang relevan dengan topik pengetahuan infeksi nosokomial dan kepatuhan penggunaan APD. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa keperawatan tentang infeksi nosokomial memiliki hubungan dengan kepatuhan penggunaan APD. Mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan yang baik cenderung lebih patuh dalam menggunakan APD saat praktik klinik. Dengan demikian, peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa keperawatan mengenai infeksi nosokomial diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan penggunaan APD sebagai upaya pencegahan infeksi di lingkungan pelayanan kesehatan.
