INTERNALISASI NILAI PERSATUAN INDONESIA MELALUI KEGIATAN OSPEK MAHASISWA BARU FAKULTAS KEPERAWATAN UNIVERSITAS JEMBER TAHUN 2025

Abstract

The Student Orientation and Campus Introduction Program (OSPEK) plays a crucial role in shaping the character and instilling national values among new students. This research aims to determine the extent to which OSPEK contributes to the process of internalizing the value of Indonesian Unity among new students of the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Jember in 2025. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with a population of 220 new students and a sample of 70 respondents selected using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error. Data collection was conducted through an online questionnaire using Google Form with a Likert scale of 1–5, covering four main aspects: togetherness, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and nationalism. The results indicate that most respondents rated OSPEK activities as effective in fostering a spirit of togetherness (85%), increasing mutual cooperation (78%), encouraging an attitude of tolerance (82%), and strengthening nationalism (80%). Mixed-group activities and nationalistic activities proved capable of strengthening social bonds among students from various regions and fostering pride in their alma mater. Thus, OSPEK activities not only serve as an introduction to the campus environment but also as a means of character formation for students who embody unity, nationalism, and are ready to contribute positively to the nation and society.
