Abstract
Employee performance is a crucial element in determining an organization's success amidst the ever-changing and complex dynamics of the work environment. Various studies confirm that human resource management practices, leadership style, and work-life balance are supporting factors in improving employee performance. However, these findings are scattered and have not been systematically integrated. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to comprehensively analyze the role of human resource management practices, leadership characteristics, and work-life balance on employee performance. This research was conducted using the PRISMA-based SLR approach, analyzing eight international scientific papers collected from reputable academic databases, namely Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and PubMed. Articles were selected according to predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria and analyzed using narrative synthesis methods to uncover patterns of relationships and underlying research among variables. The study's results confirm that effective workforce management practices, such as training and development supported by a performance-based compensation system, fair performance appraisals, and employee engagement, have a significant positive impact on employee performance. Furthermore, a transformational leadership approach has been proven effective in increasing motivation, work engagement, and goal clarity, which in turn impacts individual and team performance. Furthermore, harmony between work and personal life plays a strategic supporting role in maintaining employee well-being and sustainable performance.
