Barong Dance is one of Bali's traditional arts, characterized by high aesthetic value and rich philosophy. As a performing art, Barong Dance not only serves as entertainment but also contains profound spiritual and symbolic meanings. This article aims to analyze the aesthetic and philosophical elements of Barong Dance using a performing arts approach. The study employed qualitative methods, including literature review and observation of Barong Dance performances in Bali. The findings indicate that the aesthetics of Barong Dance are reflected in its dynamic dance movements, the use of ornate costumes, and the accompanying gamelan music that enhances the dramatic atmosphere. Philosophically, Barong Dance portrays the dualism of life between good (Barong) and evil (Rangda), reflecting the concept of balance in Balinese Hindu teachings. These findings emphasize that Barong Dance is not merely a performing art, but also a cultural expression that represents the spiritual and social values of Balinese society. Thus, preserving and deepening the understanding of Barong Dance is crucial for maintaining the continuity of Indonesia's cultural heritage.
