The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in the education category indicates that the unemployment rate among university graduates remains relatively high, while the work experience and skills possessed by graduates are still insufficient and not fully aligned with industry demands. Industrial internship experience obtained during the educational process, along with the soft skills possessed by students, is expected to contribute to improving their readiness to enter the workforce. Therefore, this study employs industrial internship experience and soft skills as research variables and involves active students who meet the required qualifications, with the aim of accurately assessing work readiness and providing a reference for preparing students to face the world of work. Data were collected using questionnaires for all research variables. The results of descriptive analysis show that industrial internship experience is categorized as good with a percentage of 73%, soft skills are categorized as good with a percentage of 72%, and work readiness is also categorized as good with a percentage of 73%. The partial test results indicate that industrial internship experience has a significant effect on students’ work readiness (Sig. 0.012 < 0.05; β = 0.247; t = 2.556). Soft skills also have a significant effect on students’ work readiness (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05; β = 0.425; t = 4.387). Furthermore, simultaneously, industrial internship experience and soft skills jointly have a significant effect on students’ work readiness (F = 17.361; Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). In conclusion, the combination of industrial internship experience and soft skills contributes positively to students’ work readiness in facing the world of work. The findings also indicate that soft skills have a stronger influence than industrial internship experience in enhancing students’ work readiness.
