This study aims to determine whether the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at UPT SDN 90 Sampulungan. The background of this study is the low student learning outcomes caused by the use of teacher-centered learning models, which result in limited student participation in the learning process. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects were sixth-grade students of UPT SDN 90 Sampulungan, totaling 25 students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests administered before and after the implementation of the PBL model. The collected data were analyzed using statistical tests to identify differences in student learning outcomes before and after the treatment. The results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model. This was indicated by the higher average posttest scores compared to the pretest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at UPT SDN 90 Sampulungan. The PBL model is recommended as an alternative learning approach to enhance student activeness and learning outcomes in elementary schools.
