Abstract
Besurek cloth is a cultural heritage textile from Bengkulu, characterized by Arabic-Malay script (Jawi) as its main motif. The term "Besurek" is derived from the word "Bersurat," reflecting the cloth's character, which contains verses from the Quran, Islamic prayers, and philosophical expressions. This cloth holds religious and historical significance closely linked to the spread of Islam in Bengkulu, Besurek cloth also has a distinctive motif where the combination of Arabic calligraphy and the beauty of the surrounding nature becomes a distinctive motif that adds to the beauty of Besurek cloth.
