PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI ANAK DIBAWAH UMUR MENGALAMI KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI LINGKUNGAN PENDIDIKAN

Minors frequently fall victim to perpetrators of sexual abuse crimes, which constitute offenses that disrupt the physical, mental, and social interaction development of children. Educational institutions, intended to be environments free from threats to children, instead fail to provide security for students and do not offer avenues for reporting and legal enforcement. This study aims to examine the implementation of legal system protections for child victims of indecent assault in educational settings within this country by evaluating the application of constitutional and statutory laws. The following research employs a juridical normative approach, grounded in positive legal provisions, particularly Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, Law Number 12 of 2022 on Sexual Violence Crimes, and Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 46 of 2023. This approach is utilized to analyze legal norms governing child protection, especially in the domains of prevention and management of violence in educational environments. These legal norms, related to child protection, are thoroughly examined through this method, with emphasis on aspects of prevention and handling of violence incidents in educational institutions.
