Abstract

Smart mobility development in Indonesia is increasingly dependent on information technology infrastructure as the foundation for urban transformation. This journal analyzes the role of such infrastructure in promoting smart mobility as part of a smart city strategy. The study covers technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, network connectivity, and real-time data management systems applied to traffic management, public transportation, and mobility applications. The methodology employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a systematic literature review. The results indicate that information technology infrastructure serves as a primary driver, yet implementation is hindered by data fragmentation, low system interoperability, and weak inter-institutional coordination. Success is also highly determined by data openness and private sector involvement. The article concludes that smart mobility must be developed as an integrated component of the smart city ecosystem, rather than as a standalone technical solution. A holistic approach is required, combining the strengthening of digital infrastructure, policy harmonization, and transparent, sustainable data governance.
