Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and provide guidance on the maintenance of the braking system in the 2019 Toyota Avanza G type. The braking system is one of the vital components in a vehicle that functions to ensure driving safety. In this study, an examination was conducted on the main components of the braking system such as brake pads, brake discs, brake master cylinder, and brake fluid, as well as the routine maintenance processes that must be carried out to ensure optimal performance of the braking system. The research methods used were direct observation of the vehicles, interviews with workshop technicians, and literature studies on brake system maintenance procedures. The research results show that regular maintenance, which includes checking the thickness of brake pads, periodic replacement of brake fluid, and inspection of the hydraulic system, has a significant impact on braking performance. Additionally, it was found that the cleanliness and good condition of braking components can reduce the risk of more severe damage and enhance safety. This research is expected to provide useful information for owners of the 2019 Toyota Avanza type G to perform proper maintenance on the braking system, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining vehicle safety components.
