PENGUATAN KOMPETENSI SOFT SKILL DAN ETOS KERJA SISWA SMK ROUDHATUL MUAWANAH UNTUK PERSIAPAN PERSAINGAN DI DUNIA KERJA

ABSTRAK
Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi soft skills dan etos kerja siswa SMK Roudhatul Muawanah agar siap bersaing di dunia kerja. Mitra menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab siswa. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui metode experiential learning yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam simulasi, permainan edukatif, dan refleksi. Sasaran kegiatan adalah 50 siswa kelas XI dari tiga program keahlian.
Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek komunikasi interpersonal, kerja sama tim, dan kesadaran terhadap pentingnya etos kerja. Siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri dan disiplin, sementara guru memperoleh modul pelatihan yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembinaan karakter. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat kesiapan kerja siswa serta membangun sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah kejuruan dalam mencetak lulusan berkarakter unggul dan kompetitif.

ABSTRACT
This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the soft skills and work ethic of students at SMK Roudhatul Muawanah to prepare them for competitiveness in the job market. The partner school faces challenges related to students’ low levels of communication skills, discipline, and responsibility. The activity employed a participatory approach using the experiential learning method, emphasizing active involvement through simulations, educational games, and reflection sessions. The program targeted 50 eleventh-grade students from three vocational majors.
The evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in interpersonal communication, teamwork, and awareness of work ethics. Students became more confident and disciplined, while teachers benefited from a training module that can be applied to future character-building programs. This PKM activity effectively strengthened students’ job readiness and fostered collaboration between higher education institutions and vocational schools in developing competent and high-character graduates ready to face the demands of the modern labor market.
