UPAYA PENCEGAHAN RADIKALISME MELALUI EDUKASI NILAI KEBANGSAAN PADA PELAJAR

Abstract

Radicalism is a serious issue that can threaten social harmony and national unity, including among adolescents at the junior high school level. This community service activity aims to provide education and awareness regarding the dangers of radicalism through a socialization program conducted at SMPN 2 Kampar Kiri Tengah. The program was integrated with the Indonesian Language course by emphasizing critical reading, discussion, and narrative understanding related to radicalism issues. The method used was descriptive qualitative, involving socialization sessions, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer activities with students. The results indicated that students gained a better understanding of the meaning, characteristics, and dangers of radicalism, as well as the importance of critical thinking and tolerance in daily life. This activity demonstrates that Indonesian language learning can be an effective medium for strengthening students’ character and preventing the spread of radical ideologies.
