Analisis Bahaya Potensial Kimia dan Karakteristik Pekerja terhadap Kejadian Dermatitis Kontak di Rumah Sakit

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between worker characteristics and chemicals with the incidence of contact dermatitis in hospitals. Method: research using analytic observational method with cross sectional design. The number of respondents in this study were 33 respondents. The independent variables in this study are worker characteristics and potential chemical hazards. The dependent variable is the incidence of contact dermatitis. The study used a self-administered questionnaire and observation sheets. Data analysis used the chi square test. Results: there is a relationship between worker characteristics in the form of past medical history (0.016), personal hygiene (0.000), and use of PPE (0.000) with the incidence of contact dermatitis. There is no relationship between worker characteristics such as age (0.502), gender (0.112), history of allergies (0.266), and history of atopy (0.894) with the incidence of contact dermatitis . There is a relationship between chemical potential hazards in the form of duration of exposure and the incidence of contact dermatitis (0.001) and the frequency of exposure to the incidence of contact dermatitis (0.000). Conclusion: there is a relationship between worker characteristics in the form of past medical history, personal hygiene, and the use of PPE to the incidence of contact dermatitis, there is no relationship between worker characteristics in the form of age, gender, history of atopy, history of allergies and the incidence of contact dermatitis. There is a relationship between chemical hazards and the incidence of contact dermatitis.
