Abstract

Febrile seizures are the most common neurological disorder found in children because the emergence of febrile seizures is related to age, temperature level and temperature speed, including hereditary factors that also play a role in increasing febrile seizures where family members of patients have a chance of experiencing seizures more than normal children. This final scientific paper aims to understand the basic concepts, obtain information and provide nursing care regarding febrile seizures in children. The author uses a descriptive method while the sample is data obtained through interview assessment, physical examination, observation of activities, obtaining notes and reports, diagnostics. After nursing actions for 3 days the main diagnosis of risk of injury is related to the disease process and during the seizure management intervention for 3 consecutive days the main nursing problem of risk of injury can be resolved. Collaboration between the health team and the patient or family is very necessary for the success of nursing care to the patient so that the patient's nursing problems regarding the risk of injury can be implemented by monitoring the occurrence of recurrent seizures and the problem can be resolved properly.
