ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA KELUARGA DENGAN HIPERTENSI DAN HIPERKOLESTEROLEMIA DI GAMPONG LAMTIMPEUNG KECAMATAN DARUSSALAM KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Hypertension remains a major global health issue and a
leading cause of mortality. Its risk factors include age,
gender, smoking, and unhealthy lifestyles. Another prevalent
condition within families is hypercholesterolemia, which
significantly contributes to non- communicable diseases such
as coronary artery disease, stroke, coronary heart disease
(CHD), and atherosclerosis. This final scientific paper aims to
deliver nursing care to families dealing with hypertension and
hypercholesterolemia. The priority nursing diagnoses
identified were ineffective health management and
ineffective health maintenance behaviors. Interventions were
implemented based on the five core family health tasks,
including health education on both conditions, the use of the
CERDIK health promotion program, neck massage and hand
exercises, avocado juice consumption, environmental
modifications for comfort, and optimized use of health
services. Evaluation results indicated improved family
knowledge, skills, and motivation in managing health
conditions. This paper is expected to contribute to enhancing
family support and awareness in caring for members with
hypertension and hypercholesterolemia.
