Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning interest and achievement in the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) ethics through the implementation of the unplugged learning media “PETIKA” (AI Ethics Adventure Map). The research was motivated by the low learning interest (31.67%) and limited understanding of AI ethics among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Pebatan 03, with an initial average score of 55.88. PETIKA was developed based on computational thinking principles, particularly pattern recognition, and implemented using a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with a deep learning approach. The findings indicate that PETIKA significantly enhanced students’ learning interest to 87.92% (very high category) and improved learning outcomes, with an average score of 80 and 80% of students meeting the minimum mastery criteria. These results suggest that PETIKA is effective in increasing learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and students’ ability to identify ethical and unethical patterns in AI use. Furthermore, PETIKA shows potential for broader use across multiple subjects, serving as an innovative, collaborative, and student-centered learning tool.
