Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Berbasis Web Menggunakan Framework Laravel dan Database MySQL untuk Meningkatkan Efektivitas Pengelolaan Informasi

Abstract

The utilization of information technology in data management has become an essential requirement for organizations to improve work effectiveness and efficiency. Problems commonly found in manual information management systems include delays in information delivery, data inconsistency, and a high risk of recording errors. This study aims to develop a web-based information system using the Laravel framework and MySQL database to enhance the effectiveness of information management. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), which consists of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and system evaluation stages. The Laravel framework is applied due to its Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, which supports structured, secure, and maintainable application development. Meanwhile, the MySQL database is utilized as a relational data storage system capable of managing large volumes of data efficiently. The results of this study indicate that the developed information system improves data access speed, enhances information management accuracy, and reduces data input errors compared to the previous manual system. Furthermore, the web-based system enables real-time and integrated information presentation, thereby supporting more effective decision-making processes. Therefore, the implementation of a web-based information system using Laravel and MySQL can be applied as an effective solution to improve the quality and effectiveness of information management in organizations.
