Abstract

Data visualization is a crucial instrument in the world of information technology education to transform complex evaluation data into easily understandable information. This study aims to analyze student performance in Windows operating system installation practicums by utilizing the Python programming language as a visualization medium. The research methodology applied follows a systematic flow that includes problem identification, data collection from 19 students, data processing using Google Colab, to the evaluation stage. The results show that the use of the Pandas and Seaborn libraries can effectively map individual competencies and student score distributions. Through the visualization of Bar Charts, Swarmplots, and Pie Charts, a critical threshold was found at a score of 70, where students below that number tended to experience fatal technical failures in partition management and BIOS configuration. The analysis showed a collective success rate of 66.7%, while the other 33.3% experienced installation problems. This study concludes that code-based visualization technology not only improves the efficiency of the assessment process but also provides a precise diagnosis of student learning barriers, which is very useful for future curriculum development.
