Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is widely used as a fuel because it is practical and efficient. However, it has the potential to cause fire hazards in the event of a leak. This research proposes the creation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based LPG leak detection system to enhance user safety. The system is built using an MQ-2 sensor as the gas detector, a Wemos D1 Mini microcontroller for data processing, along with a buzzer, LCD, and the Blynk application as warning media. When the gas concentration exceeds the safe limit, the system automatically activates an alarm, displays information on the LCD, and sends a notification to the user's smartphone. The type of research used is design and construction, which includes the stages of needs analysis, hardware and software design, implementation, and testing. The results show that the prototype can effectively detect LPG leaks and provide early warnings, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents and losses.
