Abstract
The problem of self-control among children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the main challenges faced in public inclusive schools. Children with ADHD often struggle to maintain attention, regulate emotions, and control impulsive behavior, which affects both their learning process and social interactions. This study aims to examine the implementation of guidance and counseling services through play therapy to improve self-control among children with ADHD in public inclusive schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research design, by reviewing various literature, journals, and relevant scientific sources. The results indicate that play therapy is an effective counseling strategy to help children with ADHD develop self-control through structured, enjoyable, and meaningful play activities. Play therapy enables children to channel their hyperactive energy positively, learn to follow rules, delay impulses, and manage emotions in adaptive ways. Furthermore, the implementation of play therapy within guidance and counseling services in inclusive schools requires collaboration among counselors, classroom teachers, and parents to ensure optimal and sustainable outcomes. Therefore, play therapy can be considered a humanistic and effective strategy to support the success of inclusive education in Indonesia.
