DETEKSI DINI ANAK USIA PRA SEKOLAH MENGGUNAKAN METODE M-CHAT DAN SIKAP IBU DI TK ABA 3 TAMBAH SARI, GADINGREJO, PRINGSEWU
Abstract
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction, communication, and behavior Early detection of ASD is important for appropriate intervention This study aims to detect the risk of autism in preschool children aged 4-6 years at ABA Kindergarten Tambah sarı Gadingrejo using the M-CHAT-R (Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers-Revised) instrument. Method: Community service with 10 respondents screened using M-CHAT-R Analysis was carried out using the M-CHAT Questionnaire and the Questionnaire Questionnaire Questions on Mothers' Attitudes Towards M-CHAT participatory and evidence-based, focusing on two main problem areas of monitoring and stimulating child development, and improving maternal skills in supporting child development at home. This method combines an educational approach, practical training, monitoring, and evaluation, so that the solutions provided can be implemented effectively and sustainably. Results: Based on the analysis of existing conditions, several findings indicate that most children are in the normal growth and development category, with an average M-CHAT score below 2, indicating no indication of autism or significant developmental disorders. However, teacher observations and interviews with parents revealed a need to improve mothers' understanding of their role in supporting children's growth and development. Mothers' attitudes and involvement in educational and stimulating activities at home still vary, so children's potential for optimal development needs to be addressed.Supported by more systematic parental guidance and education.
