Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji stabilitas moneter serta dampaknya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia dengan menempatkan inflasi sebagai indikator utama stabilitas moneter. Pertumbuhan ekonomi diperlakukan sebagai variabel yang memiliki potensi hubungan timbal balik dengan inflasi, sehingga memunculkan permasalahan endogenitas dalam analisis empiris. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode Instrumental Variables dengan teknik Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS). Data yang digunakan berupa data sekunder time series kuartalan periode 2014Q1–2023Q4. Variabel moneter yang dianalisis mencakup jumlah uang beredar dan nilai tukar rupiah sebagai saluran transmisi kebijakan moneter terhadap inflasi. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa jumlah uang beredar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap inflasi, sedangkan nilai tukar juga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap stabilitas harga. Di sisi lain, pertumbuhan ekonomi menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan inflasi, namun tidak signifikan secara statistik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengelolaan likuiditas dan stabilitas nilai tukar memiliki peran dominan dalam menjaga stabilitas moneter di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, kebijakan moneter yang kredibel dan efektif menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan stabilitas harga serta mendukung keberlanjutan pertumbuhan ekonomi.
