Abstract
Organizational commitment is a key pillar in the effectiveness of public services. This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) to explore the influence of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation on organizational commitment in the public sector. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by referring to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and the Theory-Context-Characteristics-Methodology (TCCM) framework. The literature search was conducted through Publish or Perish with Crossef sources for the period 2021-2026, resulting in 50 articles for analysis. The synthesis results indicate that self-efficacy strengthens psychological competence, while intrinsic motivation serves as a catalyst for affective commitment. This study provides implications for policymakers in the public sector to prioritize the development of soft skills and a meaningful work environment.
