OPTIMALISASI KINERJA SISTEM INFORMASI MELALUI IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN BASIS DATA TERINTEGRASI

Abstract

The advancement of information technology requires information systems capable of managing data quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner. However, many organizations still face challenges such as data fragmentation, low system efficiency, and limited data synchronization across units. This study aims to optimize information system performance through the implementation of an integrated database management system designed to enhance efficiency, consistency, and reliability in data processing. The research applies the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method for system design and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model for its technical implementation. Database integration was achieved by combining query optimization, data replication, and distributed data management strategies, enabling real-time synchronization between subsystems. The results indicate that the integrated system can improve data access speed by 35–40%, reduce information inconsistency risks, and strengthen system security and reliability. Therefore, the implementation of an integrated database management system proves to be an effective solution for optimizing modern information system performance and supporting faster, more accurate decision-making processes within organizations.
