Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of waqf literacy on the National Waqf Index (IWN) of provinces in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with cross-sectional data, where waqf literacy in 2020 is the independent variable and the provincial NWI in 2022 is the dependent variable. The analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimation and Huber-White robust standard errors. The results show that waqf literacy has a negative relationship with the provincial National Waqf Index, but the effect is not statistically significant. The low coefficient of determination indicates that variations in the provincial IWN are largely influenced by factors other than waqf literacy. These findings suggest that increasing waqf literacy does not directly improve waqf performance at the provincial level.
