Marine debris pollution threatens ecosystems and contradicts Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14. Conventional education is considered insufficiently interactive. This study aims to design an educational game called “Arus Biru” (Blue Current) to increase literacy and awareness of the dangers of marine debris. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, this 2D game was developed based on HTML5 Canvas. Black-box functionality testing and user testing on 15 respondents have been conducted. The results show that the game's functionality works well and received an excellent response in terms of engagement (score of 4.6/5) and educational understanding (score of 4.4/5). “Arus Biru” has proven to be an effective edutainment medium for environmental literacy.
