Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebijakan work-life balance terhadap retensi karyawan Generasi Z di Hotel Purnama Balige. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 35 karyawan Generasi Z yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, serta analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan Generasi Z di Hotel Purnama Balige. Nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,786 menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan satu satuan work-life balance akan meningkatkan retensi karyawan sebesar 0,786 satuan. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,672 mengindikasikan bahwa 67,2% variasi retensi karyawan dapat dijelaskan oleh work-life balance, sedangkan sisanya 32,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi teoretis dengan memperkuat konsep retensi karyawan sebagai konstruk multidimensional yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor keseimbangan kehidupan. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi industri perhotelan dalam merancang kebijakan sumber daya manusia yang berorientasi pada peningkatan work-life balance untuk mempertahankan talenta muda di era modern.
