Abstract

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has driven significant transformations in the tourism and recreation industry, including the management of experience-based recreational attractions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on visitors’ recreational experiences at VS Thrillix Sport Park, Jakarta. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with management and visitors, direct on-site observations, and documentation related to the application of AI technology. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI at VS Thrillix Sport Park plays an important role in improving operational efficiency, service personalization, and the overall quality of visitors’ recreational experiences, such as queue management, security systems, and intelligent technology-based digital interactions. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited visitor understanding of AI technology and operational dependence on technological systems. Overall, the application of AI has a positive impact on recreational experiences, but it needs to be balanced with adaptive and educational management strategies to ensure that the benefits of the technology can be optimally experienced by all visitors.
